Greek November unemployment at 18.5 pct, lowest since July 2011

ATHENS, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Greece’s jobless rate dropped to 18.5 percent in November from an upwardly revised 18.7 percent in the previous month, data from the country’s statistics service ELSTAT showed on Thursday.


Confidence vote to the Greek economy from Moody's after 5 years

Greece's return to international bond markets in January with a 2.5 billion-euro issuance is credit positive for its credit-worth, Moody's credit rating agency said. The firm rates Greece at B3 Grade with positive outlook.


Think tank forecasts Greek 2019 economic growth of 2 percent

ATHENS (Reuters) - Greece’s economy will expand by around 2 percent in 2019, the influential Greek IOBE think tank predicted on Tuesday, slightly below a previous forecast of 2.4 percent.

Greece emerged from a bailout program in August and the government expects economic growth of 2.5 percent this year.

Greek property prices rise for a third consecutive quarter

ATHENS (Reuters) - A recovery in Greece’s residential property market gained momentum in the third quarter of 2018, central bank data showed on Monday, suggesting an improving economy and growing foreign interest may help property prices rise further.
Property accounts for a large chunk of household wealth in Greece, which has one of the highest home ownership rates in Europe at 80 percent, versus a European Union average of 70 percent, according to the European Mortgage Federation.
